Basement Bathroom

This family of 4 live in a modest bungelow with only one bathroom. There was a rough-in for a second bathroom in the basement and they decided it was finally time to make it into a useful space instead of a storage closet. The room was fully drywalled and framed, so creating a function room using the existing footprint was key. The room was slightly oversized and had an awkward space under the stairs, so I designed and built custom storage solution for the room with extra deep drawers and upper cabinets for ultimate utility. Another key element we considered is that their main floor bathroom will need to be completely gutted at some point, so having a shower would be key. To make the room cozy we installed heated floors under a beatiful ceramic tile, so you will never have to step onto a cold floor after a hot shower.
